The portuguese renewables market in one shot

Portugal renewable energy contribution is expected to be 47% of the national gross final consumption of energy by 2030. The Portuguese draft integrated National Energy and Climate plan (NECP) has made the roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050 based on an economy which value is generating wealth and well- being.

In order to complete the target, the country plan has stablished some objectives such as reduce energy import dependency to 65%, cities such as Azores and Madeira could increase self-energy sufficiency by developing clean technologies. The country also seeks for making a better interconnection facility for gas electricity and gas.
